It's a little-known fact that many computers have an executable file with the name of Virtual Breadboard 4.15.exe .rar, installed in its default program files directory. This post is all about how to fix it and get back to working order! 1) Boot up your computer and enter the "programs" folder located in your C: drive (for most people, this is c:\\programs). 2) Double-click on the "Virtual Breadboard 4.15" folder and find the "Virtual Breadboard 4.15 Beta 1 v4x111". Notice anything suspicious? That's right - instead of reading Virtual Breadboard 4. 15, the title is a long string of numbers and letters. This is a good sign that this is not a normal software executable. 3) Double-click on it and the file will open in your default text editor. The first thing you'll notice is that instead of being one big long program that you can execute, it's one big long collection of seemingly random characters. 4) Go back to the "Virtual Breadboard 4.15" folder and double-click on "virtual breadboard 4.15 - readme". That's right - the filename reads "readme" instead of "readme.txt". 5) Now click on "readme" and you'll see the contents of this file. Notice anything strange about it? It's not a normal program - it's a picture with some text. That's right - someone (if you're lucky, someone with a sense of humor) has modified the 'readme' file to be a picture of Virtual Breadboard 4.15! 6) Click on "readme" and you'll see that the picture has been altered to look like Virtual Breadboard 4.15, but with some random text and an exclamation mark (!) instead of the clickable buttons at the bottom. 7) If you want to fix the problem, replace the contents of "readme" with a normal text file. However, you're going to have to be careful and not change anything in the picture. To do so: a) Copy and paste the image in a new image file with a different extension (such as .bmp or .png). b) Edit away at your new image, carefully watching what you delete and add. Keep in mind that some things such as size and orientation may be important when you're making Virtual Breadboard 4.15 look like it's supposed to. C) Save your new image under the name of "readme". d) Go to step 5 and follow the instructions carefully. 8) Now that you've fixed the 'readme' file, you're ready to fix Virtual Breadboard 4.15! a) Open up virtual breadboard 4.15 - readme as a text file. b) Copy and paste the entire contents of "virtual breadboard 4.15 - readme" into the text editor where you found the original fake readme file (Step 3). c) Replace it with a normal readable version (i.e.: don't change the picture and make sure all of the functions are clickable). d) Save your new fake readme file under the name "readme".
